HABITAT investigates ways to improve interaction between the public and the sheltered animals, particularly the cats. It is a more aesthetically pleasing display for adoptees visiting the mobile adoption centers in urban area. The Design will transform cages perceived as inhuman by creating a more friendly character. HABITAT, once home, also can be converted into a cat scratcher, aiming to smooth the transition between two habitats: the shelter and the home.

Shoe Chair helps users to eliminate the stress caused by bending forward when they are tying their shoelaces by raising the legs closer to their bodies with an elevated platform. The chair is designed to be placed at apartment’s hallway. It provides users a comfortable experience before and after their daily routine. Storage space is designed to hold two pairs of shoes and shoe cleaning tools underneath the seating area.

A piece of handmade furniture by reusing scrap wood from making larger projects. A sideboard consists of four storage spaces, including two drawers in the middle. Finished with matt Osmo natural wood oil. Sliding mechanism of divisions is designed to provide better organization.

A handmade bench only utilized wood joints, including mortise and tenon with mitered face, lap joints. Two identical pieces are designed for various arrangements. It also serves as a displace stand when placed vertically.

A desk not only consists of two planks showing natural beauty of walnut even with defects, but also several modular pieces made from scrap wood. Removed a modular piece allows others to slide horizontally and creates various sizes of slots that help organizing cables for devices. When each modular pieces flipped upside down, the designed notches in shapes hold stationaries.

It is a multi-functional design for displaying other items, such as sunglasses, rings, or fruits. It is made with four layers of veneer, held in shape with wood glue in a vacuum bag. Two bent arc underneath to serve as the feet. The handle is designed for comfort, which fits ergonomically in users' palms.

This felt fruit bowl is an elegant fruit container and display aims to promote healthy diet. Adjustable copper strip allows user to play around the form. With easy disassembly, the felt can be washed and remain clean. Various color choices of felt will be available in the future.

Inspired by Craig Armstrong’s “Gentle Piece,” SPIN is an interactive floor lamp serves more like a sculptural piece that illuminates as a secondary light source in a lobby setting of a hotel or apartment building. The residents and visitors can enjoy the subtlety and delicacy spread by this lamp with a shadow mimics its rhythm of the music.
